2020-21 – Central England Snowfall

Using a combination of daily CET values and UKP gridded daily rainfall data I estimate that 28 cm of snow has fallen in Central England in the extended winter [NDJFM] of 2020-21. Although I’ve generated those figures rather early they look to be slightly above average and the highest since 2017-18. Days of snowfall since 1931 are down by 52.8%, using my unique ,if rather dodgy method of estimating the amount of snow that falls each year.
