30 Mar 2021 – Joint fourth warmest March day since 1878

Yesterday’s provisional maximum of 19.9°C (30 March 2021) made it the fourth joint warmest March day in central England since 1878. Having said that it only comes a poor fourth behind the 29th of that year which had a maximum of 22.1°C. The provisional mean temperature for yesterday of 13.0°C made it the 12th mildest day in central England since 1772. The highest daily mean temperature for March occurred as recently as the 30th of March 2017.
