Latest spring since 2011 in Central England

Spring has provisionally sprung on the 17th of March this year in Central England. That makes spring this year just four days early and a full month later than it was last year in 2020. In fact it’s the latest first day of spring since 2011 in Central England using accumulated degree days since the winter solstice and the start of winter. The linear trend since 1772 shows that the first day of spring is now three weeks earlier that it was in 1772.
