- Currently the mean temperature of 10.57°C in the last 365 days since the 18th of May 2019, was the 11th warmest since 1772 in central England. The current anomaly is +1.07°C above the 1961-1990 LTA.
- The mean temperature for the first part of this year up until now of 9.66°C is the 7th joint warmest since 1772. The current anomaly is +1.12°C above the 1961-1990 LTA.
- The meteorological season of spring [MAM] with a mean temperature up until of 10.24°C is the 9th warmest since 1772. The current anomaly is +1.07°C above the 1961-1990 LTA.
These league tables are a slightly different approach to visualising our warming climate in central England, no fancy coloured candy stripes that you can’t understand, just plain tabulated ranked temperatures. One small point regarding them and that is because they are all based on provisional data since the start of the month they may be subject to a very small adjustment.
