October 2020 – another fairly average month

Central England temperatures have become rather boring of late, and October 2020 was no exception with the mean temperature of 10.53°C ending up just slightly colder (-0.09°C) than the 1961-1990 LTA. The first three weeks of October were a little on the cold side, but a couple of mild spells towards the end of the month brought temperatures backup closer to normal. The overnight minimum on the 21st did set a new record for highest minimum.
